My God Woman -- Where Have You Been?
Answer:
Since my last post (which was, I believe, in July), I have been to a family reunion...
...where I saw all my cousins. The reunion was on a dude ranch in Colorado...
...where I rode a one-eared wonder horse, aptly named Van Gogh, for the week.
I also had 3 weeks' worth of houseguests in August, during which time I snuck in a trip to Crater Lake (I love that place)...and TWO visits to Rasmussen Farms in Hood River. The second time we went, I won an apple pie!
I also enjoyed many of my garden's bounties:
Over Labor Day Weekend, I went to visit my aunt and uncle in Bremerton, WA.
We took a day trip to Olympic National Park - it was windy!
Oh, yeah, and I also did my 6-day, 46-mile, rim-to-rim-to-rim backpack of the Grand Canyon! We took 329 pictures. Here are a few good ones:
(on the shuttle bus to the trailhead on our first day)
(on the silver bridge over the Colorado River)
(tiny me along the North Kaibab Trail)
(emerging triumphantly at the end)
So, THAT is where I have been...not that anybody's been missing me. Oh, and I may have broken my elbow yesterday, AND I got into a car accident this morning. This reminds me of a little song I know... You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have the facts of life, the facts of life...
